Fleur Welcome
MAC Fleur Welcome Glowplay Lip Balm ($20.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium, pinky-red with subtle, cool undertones and a glossy finish. It had semi-sheer color coverage, which was as marketed, that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. There was a noticeable tint but definite translucency that would allow the natural lip color to come through, so it could look different based on one’s natural pigmentation.
It had a balmy consistency that was smooth, dense initially but was quick to warm up and soften as it was pulled across my lips. The product was lightweight to wear with moderate slip and no tackiness. It lasted for three hours and felt lightly hydrating, though it wasn’t particularly long-wearing (a claim made).

Formula Overview
$20.00/0.12 oz. – $166.67 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a “pop” of color with a “long-wearing” and “moisturizing” feel that “wears comfortably.” They had sheer to semi-sheer color coverage, which produced a noticeable tint but was still translucent–so they may look different from person to person due to the natural lip color coming through.
The texture was dense and firmer in the tube, so it didn’t feel like it instantly melted like some tinted lip balms, but it warmed up and became emollient, lightweight, and comfortable to apply once I swiped it on. I didn’t find the lip balm to be particularly long-wearing–two to three hours–and it was lightly hydrating. There was a sweet scent, but I found it hard to place, and it wasn’t the brand’s signature vanilla scent.

Floral Coral
MAC Floral Coral Glowplay Lip Balm ($20.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, medium dusty coral with warmer, pink-leaning undertones and a luminous sheen. It had a balmy consistency that was smooth and denser in the tube, but it softened and “melted,” which gave way to a more emollient feel once it came into the contact of the warmth of my lips.
It had semi-sheer pigmentation that built up to medium coverage with a second layer, and the color applied evenly without emphasizing lip texture or settling into my lip lines noticeably. It wore well for three hours and felt lightly moisturizing over time.

Pinking of You
MAC Pinking of You Glowplay Lip Balm ($20.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a very light pink with subtle, cool undertones and a luminous sheen. It had a milkier quality to it, so there was a bit of product that settled into my deeper lip lines, though it wasn’t too noticeable in person.
The texture felt smooth and dense initially, but it warmed up and softened to a more emollient, balmy feel on my lips. It stayed on decently for two and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating while worn.
