As this post is being written, the northern hemisphere is locked firmly in autumn’s grip. The days are getting shorter and the temperature’s cooler. Now is the time to make sure you have a good inventory of sunglasses for the winter sales season. To help get you set up, we have done some looking around to gauge the latest trends.

Some of what we are seeing is expected. But there are a few trends you might consider surprising. So let us go through them. By the time you are done reading, you might be ready to place your next order for men’s and women’s wholesale sunglasses.

1. Anything Black

Black has always been a mainstay color for sunglasses. But in recent years, consumers have branched out into a variety of brighter colors. If Paris Fashion Week (PFW) for Fall/Winter 2024/2025 was any indication, all-black could be making an impressive comeback this winter.

Several models were spotted wearing all-black sunglasses (black frames and black lenses) during the week’s shows. It appeared as though the elegant look was in thanks to a preference for subtle accents rather than their boulder counterparts.

You won’t have any trouble finding all-black sunglasses here at Olympic Eyewear. Our inventory of wholesale sunglasses includes a lengthy list of all-black models in a variety of styles.

2. Butterfly Frames

Butterfly sunglasses offer a look similar to cat eyes without being as obtrusive. People seem to appreciate the butterfly shape for its angularity and geometry. The butterfly form is elegant, understated, and can be pulled off in a number of different colors.

One of our new arrivals for October 2024 is the Giselle Butterfly for women (GSL22528). It comes in a variety of frame and lens colors. They are available in bulk, at wholesale prices of course.

3. Square Frames

We have seen a lot of interest in square sunglasses heading into the winter. Flat top squared frames are looking promising, as are rimless squares. Square sunglasses offer a flatter, more concentric look that seems perfectly suited to bulkier winter outerwear.

Shield Sunglasses

What we now call shield sunglasses used to be known as wraparounds. They are always hot during the winter because they are ideal for winter sports. The shield design boasts larger lenses that offer protection on the side of the face as well as the front. They provide maximum shielding against the sun.

If a good portion of your customer base consists of people who ski and snowboard, it would be a wise idea to have a good selection of shield sunglasses in your winter inventory. You might want to order now to make sure you have enough stock to handle Christmas shopping.

Thick Temples

One last thing to consider is that your customers might prefer sunglasses with thick temples. Regardless of frame shape and style, thick temples add definition. They create extra bulk that can make some models feel better on the face. We have seen quite a few references to thick temples in recent months. Keep them on your radar.

Be Sure to Order in Advance

As you pay attention to the trends for winter 2024-2025, keep in mind that the industry is already looking forward to spring trends for next year. It is a wise idea to be sure to order in advance of each pending season so that you have enough inventory to support your customers.

As always, Olympic Eyewear is committed to being your source for wholesale sunglasses for men, women, and children. We have the styles and colors, along with competitive wholesale pricing, to keep your inventory fully stocked.
