Cookie Cluster

ColourPop Cookie Cluster 4-Pan Cheek Palette ($12.00 for 0.3 oz.) includes one cream highlighter, one shimmery powder blush, and two matte blushes: light copper, gold-shimmered orange, matte orange-coral, and matte pink-coral. They were fairly as-marketed with respect to pigmentation; the blushes were more buildable and hard to over-apply, though they had enough payoff to show up on skin.

I found that the texture of the blushes was very smooth and finely-milled, which didn’t seem to adhere as well to my arm (which is quite dry) but worked well on my face (ultimately, where I test cheek products!).

Butterscotch

Butterscotch is a light copper with warmer undertones and a pearly sheen. It had more buildable coverage applied with a brush and opaque coverage applied with a fingertip, which was as marketed. The texture was smooth and emollient to the touch, but it had that spongy feel that is signature to the formula. It applied well to bare skin and over foundation, and it stayed on nicely for 10 hours before fading a bit.

Extra Sprinkles

Extra Sprinkles is a brighter, light-medium orange with strong, warm undertones and lighter, golden pearl throughout. It had medium, buildable color coverage that applied evenly to my cheeks and blended out well, though it didn’t adhere as well to my drier, arm skin. The consistency felt soft, silky, and smooth, though it was moderately powdery. It lasted well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

$8.00/0.13 oz. – $61.54 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to go on “smoothly” and have a “natural and healthy flush” that has “long wear” and “can be layered to your desired intensity.” It is a lightly to moderately powdery powder blush with semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable color payoff. The consistency has a drier, thinner feel and though it feels silky to the touch, I found it the type of powder blush can be tricky to blend out evenly on the skin, depending on one’s skin type or base preferences. The drier the skin/base, the better the formula would blend, but any natural oils or slip caused the blush to go on unevenly and was difficult to blend out. The wear was between seven and eight hours on me on average.

Shortbread

Shortbread is a medium coral with warmer, more orange-leaning undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-sheer, buildable pigmentation (to mostly opaque coverage) with a soft, somewhat powdery texture, though it felt finely-milled and silky to the touch. The product applied better to my cheeks, which are more normal-to-dry compared to my arm, which is quite dry; I didn’t notice the powderiness or issues with adhesion in practice (on my cheeks). It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Oh Gingersnap

Oh Gingersnap is a brighter, medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium, buildable pigmentation paired with a soft, smooth texture that was somewhat powdery, but it didn’t appear dry or dusty on my cheeks. The product applied evenly and blended out without a fuss. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
