In the Limelight
ColourPop In the Limelight 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($14.00 for 0.32 oz.) is a new, green-themed eyeshadow palette that included nine shades split across five matte and four shimmer shades. The quality was decent, though it seemed to be a little drier and more powdery for more mattes than past palettes I’ve tested from the brand in the last year.

Star Power
Star Power is a light, whitish-beige with soft pearl. It had a soft, lightly emollient consistency that picked up evenly with a fingertip but was a little uneven with a brush. The eyeshadow applied with semi-opaque, buildable coverage and lasted decently for seven and a half hours on me.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Miami
Miami is a bright, chartreuse green with warmer, yellower undertones and a matte finish. The texture was slightly drier and somewhat powdery, so drier skin did not pair as well with it. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that wore well for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.

After Party
After Party is a bright, lime green with subtle, warmer undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, somewhat powdery and a touch on the drier side, so there was light fallout when initially applied but it blended out fairly well. I would recommend applying it over a drier/more matte base to avoid darkening around the edges. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Palms
Palms is a light-medium chartreuse green with slightly darker, greener base coloring and lighter, more golden shimmer. The consistency was moderately slippery and on the thicker side, which resulted in some “crumbliness.” It was best applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush and pressed onto the lid to avoid fallout and achieve more opaque coverage. It lasted decently for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.
