I’m holding myself back from buying EVERYTHING that Haus of Gloi has to offer! This indie beauty brand is owned by two vegans who like to smell good! They make amazing indie, niche, cruelty free and vegan perfumes and body products that you really need to smell to believe! I am SO not a summer person, so this review is heavy on the fall/Halloween-y scents, but Haus of Gloi has a bit of everything. There are a lot of fun scents that you just can’t find anywhere else (yuzu soda anyone?).
Samhain II Hair Oil 👻- “Freshly turned earth, wet leaves, and a cool specter-ridden wind!” Haus of Gloi’s hair oils are made with a blend of coconut oil, camellia oil, argan oil and daikon radish oil. You only need a few drops for silky, sexy hair. Apply from mid-lengths to the ends (depending on how dry your hair is). You can try it on dry or damp hair, and you can also use it on skin and cuticles! If you’re not into earthy scents, they also have gourmand and floral options. So many scents and I want them all!
Mango Sticky Rice Soft Bubbling Scrub 🥭- “Sweet mango, coconut-infused rice and toasted sesame” – I want to EAT this – it’s so yummy! I’ve been on a low-sugar paelo diet, so I think that is adding to my obsession with all the foodie scents. I think I’m going to buy the hair oil or perfume version of this one so I can smell it all the time. The scrub leaves no oily residue (if you follow me, you know I don’t like that!) and gives a nice foamy exfoliation.
Banana Taffy perfume oil 🍌- “Warm vanilla taffy with an artificial banana kick” It smells like classic banana Runts – so good I feel like artificial banana is a love it or a hate it scent. I’m on team “love it”!
Vice perfume oil ☕️- “Steam billows rolling off a vessel of fresh made Turkish coffee, marshmallow goo tainted by graham cracker crumbs, toasted hazelnuts, blanketed in black chocolate.” OMG this one is heavenly – my husband loves it too! I can’t stop sniffing my wrists!
Smashed Pumpkin perfume oil 🎃 – “The scent of an extinguished flame, fractured pumpkin rind, and a melted beeswax candle, ground into damp soil.” Okay, yes, I’m so ready for Halloween (can you tell by my perfume choices?) – this one is like a slightly earthy pumpkin spice latte – so yummy!
You can also use the perfume oils in your wax or oil warmer to make your house smell amazing. I wouldn’t use them in a diffuser because it may get clogged (diffusers are mainly for essential oils). Just be mindful that some essential oils and fragrance oils are not great for pets (citrus, tea tree, etc.). Haus of Gloi has many other scents and other bath and body products. Go check them out!
