Frosted Sequoia
LORAC Frosted Sequoia Mini PRO Eyeshadow Palette ($15.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a new, warm-toned neutral palette that included three matte eyeshadows and three shimmery shades. All six eyeshadows were pigmented, blendable, and longer-wearing with the lightest matte being more powdery and being the “weak” shade of the bunch.

The mattes felt less thin and were not quite as dry as the prior formula–a bit silkier–though the matte eyeshadows are still lightly to moderately powdery with light fallout but are blendable. I think it’s a formula more suitable to someone who tends to prefer buildable coverage and a little more muted color.

Acorn is a light-medium brown with warm, more orange-leaning undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color payoff in a single layer, which applied beautifully to bare skin and blended out with little effort as the texture was soft, smooth, and not too loosely nor too firmly-pressed into the pan. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Firefly
Firefly is a darker gold with warmer undertones and a metallic finish. I noticed the color looked a lot lighter and yellower when applied than it did in the pan. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and not overly dense, so it picked up well with a dry brush and yielded opaque coverage. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
