I’ve got swatches of the new Cool Treats 2021 nail polish collection (plus a few other fun summer shades) from vegan and cruelty free nail polish brand Olive Ave!
Olive Ave is a 10-free, indie nail polish brand started in January 2020 by Walker, who loves telling stories with color and putting color palettes together. Olive Ave is truly “nail polish for the color enthusiast.” If you like to experiment with non-traditional nail polish colors, you will love this cruelty free nail polish brand.
One thing I LOVE about this brand is their wide polish brush. It makes putting on nail polish SO much easier. I really struggle with narrow nail polish brushes! I also love that they ship every order in 100% recycled and recyclable packaging.
Creamsicle is a bright creamsicle orange cream that is opaque in 2-3 coats.
Tang is a bright marigold orange-yellow cream that is opaque in 1-2 coats.
Crake is a bold coral red cream that is opaque in 2 coats.
Strawberry is a rich coral pink cream that is opaque in 2-3 coats.
Pixy is a fiery coral pink shimmer that is opaque in 2-3 coats.
Lyra is a yellow leaning chartreuse cream that is opaque in 2-3 coats.
Palm Trees is a bold jade green cream with a juicy finish that is opaque in 2-3 coats.
Roo is an olympic-blue cream that is opaque in 1-2 coats.
Teddy is a deep royal blue cream that is opaque in 2-3 coats.
In addition to the shades above, Walker also sent me her matte top coat, which I thought was really cool. I had tried matte nail polish in the past, but never experimented with a matte top coat that turns ANY shade matte. I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I tried it on and it’s really cool. It gives you another way to wear your polish. I put the matte top coat over Crake (pictured) and it turned into a neon shade that I really love.
What do you think? Which shade is your favorite?
