Green (Light) (2021)
Sydney Grace Green (Light) (2021) Mystery Bag (2021) ($30.00) includes five new eyeshadows and one new highlighter across all variations of the Light bags, along with two to three additional products, which may vary between bags (my bag included Optimism, a loose pigment that’s part of the permanent range, and Katherine, a new Lip Cream).
The pressed eyeshadows and highlighter were excellent–pigmented, blendable, long-wearing and had beautiful textures. The loose pigment I’ve previously reviewed, and it seemed consistent with that as far as pigmentation/texture went, while the Lip Cream was consistent with what I’ve experienced with past shades.
The following shades are in both the Light and Deep variations of the Green bags: Mint Chocolate Chip, Emerald Eyes, Kiss Me I’m Irish, Rainforest.

Mint Chocolate Chip
Mint Chocolate Chip is a bright, sage green with more of a golden, metallic sheen. The eyeshadow had opaque color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out beautifully along the edges. The texture was almost like a cream eyeshadow it was so smooth and emollient, but it still stayed on well for eight and a half hours before showing signs of wear.

The shimmer eyeshadows are more consistent in pigmentation with the majority of shades having opaque color coverage. The more metallic/sparkly the shade is, the creamier and more emollient the eyeshadow felt in the pan, which often yielded really smooth application and good adherence to the lid, though a few worked better with a fingertip or a dampened brush for true-to-pan color or to get a truer finish/sheen.
Most shades, however, worked well with brushes, and I didn’t have trouble applying or blending out most of the shimmer shades. The more satin to pearl like finishes tend to feel a little thinner but blend out well. These shades wore between eight and nine hours on me with some of the more foiled-like shades creasing noticeably at the end (and the less foiled-like ones fading).

Kiss Me I’m Irish
Kiss Me I’m Irish is a medium green with warm, slightly more olive undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, a smidgen powdery in the pan, but it was blendable without losing its full color payoff when applied to bare skin. It lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

The matte eyeshadows tend to be pigmented (typically semi-opaque or opaque, often buildable if they aren’t opaque) with a soft, more velvety texture that has slight slip but isn’t so thick that it gets difficult to use, applies unevenly, or has a lot of fallout. I’ve found that most of the matte eyeshadows apply and blend out without much effort but a few may take a bit more effort to diffuse along the edges. The matte formula tends to wear between eight and eight and a half hours on me.

Optimism
Optimism is a rich, emerald green with cool undertones and flecks of larger gold sparkle throughout. The product is in a loose format, so coverage depended somewhat on how much was picked up, but it was opaque with little product. The texture was fairly smooth and finely-milled, but it was definitely a more sparkly shade and applied best with a fingertip or dampened brush to minimize fallout opportunities. It lasted well for nine hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.14 oz. – $42.86 Per Ounce
It’s designed to be worn alone, though the brand recommends a “mixing medium or a glitter glue” to avoid fallout. The loose consistency was denser and more weighed down, which made it less messy to work with than some more finely-milled (but very powdery) loose eyeshadow formulas available. They were very pigmented without much product, and they had similar coverage applied dry as well as wet.
The wet application typically yielded smoother, more metallic finishes and less fallout compared to dry application. Dry application required a bit more finesse as the product applied best by patting and pressing it on and then gently smoothing it into place, otherwise it had some fallout during application. A few shades that were more sparkly looked a bit chunkier applied to my skin when I used it dry (but were smoother and more forgiving when used wet). They lasted between seven and eight hours on me before creasing.

Swinging Vines
Swinging Vines is a medium pink with soft, warm undertones and warmer, lighter shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. The texture was smooth, almost cream-like, with moderate density that wasn’t too firmly-pressed into the pan, so it still picked up well with more feathery brushes. It had opaque color payoff that could be used with a lighter hand to achieve more buildable coverage if desired. There were signs of fading present after nine hours of wear.

Formula Overview

The highlighters are supposed to be “smooth and pigmented” that “blend like a dream” and “last all day long.” The majority of the shades in the range are incredibly pigmented with a creaminess to the texture that makes them a cinch to apply and blend out on my skin.
I was most impressed by how soft, almost cream-like the powders were, yet they weren’t too loosely-pressed nor were they prone to powderiness. Some of the finishes are very metallic or frosted, so when worn at semi-opaque or higher coverage levels, they can emphasize my skin’s natural texture slightly. They have worn between eight and nine hours on me.

Katherine
Katherine is a brighter, medium-dark coral-orange with strong, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had medium, buildable color coverage paired with a smooth, creamy-like texture that was lightweight, spreadable, and comfortable to wear, though it settled into my lip lines somewhat. It wore well for four hours and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.15 oz. – $66.67 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be a “cross between a lipgloss and a lipstick” that is “moisturizing.” The brand recommends using a lip liner with darker colors. It had the coverage of a lipstick with more of the feel and application of a lipgloss in my experience.
The majority of the shades have good opacity and are near-to or full coverage, which go on with minimal to no streaking but a few shades settled into my deeper lip lines more noticeably. The texture was more light-medium in thickness with moderate tackiness, and while not heavy, it was a heavier gloss than most on the market currently. It has a very smooth feel as it goes on, and it was comfortable to wear, hydration, and lasted longer than the average gloss–five to six hours.
