Bauhaus’ Peter Murphy has shared “Swoon,” a new song that he made with Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor. The single will appear on Murphy’s new album, Silver Shade, which lands on May 9 via Metropolis. Hear the new Youth-produced song below.
“I am both in the state of swoon as are my audience when witnessing my live performance,” Murphy said in a press statement. “Trent Reznor cordially accepted my invitation to appear on the song, adding a welcome vibe on the second verse, as well as throughout the entire song in the form of backing vocalizing.”
“Swoon” follows Peter Murphy’s recent duet with Boy George, “Let the Flowers Grow.” The new album will mark Murphy’s first solo effort since 2014’s Lion.
“Swoon” is not the only bit of new music from Trent Reznor today. He and his Nine Inch Nails bandmate Atticus Ross have also released The Gorge (Soundtrack From the Apple Original Film). Listen to that new album below, too.
