Dinosaurs once again roam the Earth in the seventh entry of the Jurassic Park series, which has officially been titled Jurassic World: Rebirth. With the movie set for release on July 2nd, 2025, Universal has shared a first look at the humans who will have to face their prehistoric cohabiters: Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey.
The film picks up five years after the events of 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, which reunited the cast from the original Jurassic Park movies (Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill) with the stars of the Jurassic World trilogy (Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Isabella Sermon). However, Rebirth is taking a fresh direction courtesy of original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp and new-to-the-franchise director Gareth Edwards.
With dinos once more a part of the ecosystem, the creatures have largely been isolated around the equator. When it’s determined that three of the largest surviving dinosaurs may hold the key to a miracle drug, covert op Zora Bennett (Johansson) is sent to lead a team — including Ali’s Duncan Kincaid, Bailey’s paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, and Rupert Friend’s pharmaceutical rep Martin Krebs — to secure the animals’ genetic material. Things get complicated when the team encounters a civilian family (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda) whose capsized boat strands them on an island where they accidentally uncover a sinister secret that’s been kept hidden for decades.
