It’s been another long awards season for film lovers leading up to the 2024 Oscars, as great movies from cinematic titans will all vie for the big prizes. While the 96th Academy Awards are predicted to be a very good night for Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer, there’s a ton of room for surprises, especially with contenders like Killers of the Flower Moon, Barbie, and Poor Things in the mix.
Unlike previous years, there’s no chance of a Green Book situation, as the ten films nominated for Best Picture truly represent the best of 2023. If nothing else, nine out of ten appeared on Consequence’s Best Films of 2023 list (sorry, Bradley Cooper’s Maestro).
Beyond the excitement of knowing who finally wins, after literal months of speculation, Oscars night will also showcase performances of all five nominated songs, including Barbie star Ryan Gosling belting “I’m Just Ken” — what will undoubtedly be one of the night’s biggest highlights.

We’ll be updating this list live all Sunday night, as the 96th Academy Awards air on ABC Sunday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT. (That’s an hour earlier than past years, and it’s also the first day of Daylight Savings Time. So plan accordingly.)
