Roughly five years after breaking up, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart have announced a reunion tour celebrating the anniversary of their self-titled debut. The shows take place in Spain and Portugal in February and March of 2025. See the tour dates below.

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart’s founder and frontman, Kip Berman, noted that next year’s concerts will feature keyboardist and vocalist Peggy Wang, drummer Kurt Feldman, and guitarist Christoph Hochheim, who will perform live together for the first time since 2012. He added that Eddy Marshall will fill in for bassist Alex Naidus, who can’t make the tour due to “(very good) personal things.”

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart will play their debut record, as well as additional songs from that time period, in full during the trek. “I don’t know if we’ll be doing more (or less) of this in the future,” Berman wrote. “But for right now, we’re all excited to get this chance to be together and play these songs that, quite literally, changed our lives.”

Berman announced the band’s breakup in November 2019, ending their decade-plus run. He’s continued to release music under his solo moniker, the Natvral, with his latest album, Summer of No Light, landing last September.
