FX has driven a stake through the fan favorite vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows. As first reported by Vulture, the upcoming sixth season of the show will be its last.
Season 5 of What We Do in the Shadows concluded this past August, landing the series on our list of best TV shows of 2023. The sixth season is set to begin production in January 2024.
What We Do in the Shadows premiered in March 2019 as a spinoff of Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s 2014 movie of the same name. Clement created the show, sharing executive producer duties with showrunner Paul Simms and Waititi. Throughout its run, the series has been nominated for 21 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2020 and 2022.
